Don Quixote is ballet at its most powerful and vivid. Based on Cervantes's famous novel 'Don Quixote de la Mancha', this adaptation combines art, energy and performers who have mastered their art. Don Quixote is one of their most well-known pieces, and a work that has an intimate connection with the company, receiving its world premiere at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow in 1869. It was originally adapted by Marius Petipa, with music being supplied by Ludwig Minkus.
