Hamlet reinterpreted through dance
Choreographer Guillaume Cote and director Robert Lepage bring Shakespeare's Hamlet to the stage in a striking new form, told through dance and visual storytelling. With nine performers, including Cote as the troubled prince, the production navigates that blurred space between the living and the spectral, merging choreography with theatrical design to create a layered and unique retelling of the enduring story.
The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark continues Cote and Lepage's collaboration following their acclaimed Frame by Frame, and it's sure to a fascinating interpretation. Exploring the play's central themes of grief, doubt, betrayal, and revenge through movement rather than verse, Cote and Lepage spotlight Shakespeare's classic in a fresh and wholly physical way.
