Why See 887?
Robert Lepage brings you 887
In this one-man show, celebrated theater maker Robert Lepage takes you on a journey through his childhood in 1960s Quebec. Lepage is set with the task of remembering a poem, not being able to memorise the piece Lepage uses the 'memory palace' technique in order to help him. Using his childhood home in Quebec as inspiration Lepage places each stanza in a separate room.
As he begins to re-open the doors of his childhood more becomes revealed than just the poem that he placed there. 887 not only guides its audience through the life of Lepage but also opens a door into 1960s Quebec, a city on the edge of its awakening.
