Why See An Evening with Al Pacino?

Special EventsStars on Stage

THE SCARFACE AND GODFATHER STAR ANSWERS YOUR QUESTIONS!

Fresh from his European engagements, renowned actor Al Pacino is once again appearing on stage, in an intimate question and answer session spanning his life and of course, his prodigious work in movies. From his modest beginnings off-Broadway in 1969, where he won a Tony Award for his role in "Does a Tiger Wear A Necktie?", to his more recent stage productions, including 2012's Glengarry Glen Ross, this actor is a true stage chameleon.

He is more famous however for his film work, notably his roles as sadistic anti-hero Michael Corleone in The Godfather saga, and Cuban drug lord Tony Montana in Scarface. He's been nominated for seven Academy Awards, winning the lead actor gong in 1992's Scent of a Woman by Martin Brest.

WHAT IS THE SHOW ABOUT?

The show will take place for one night only on the stage, where a fun, in-depth interview will be conducted with the star by an experienced journalist. Expect to hear some of his favourite quotes, stories that you have never heard before and see iconic film clips discussed from his point of view. All in all, this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for fans to get to know the real Al Pacino; behind the guns, the suits and that thousand-yard stare. He'll also be taking questions from the audience, so don't be shy - it could be your question that he answers!

An Evening With Al Pacino has seen great success whilst touring the States last year, and this shows no sign of abating; his recent appearance in London was a sell-out, and attracted celebrities from all over the spectrum!

DID YOU KNOW?

Pacino's role as Michael Corleone nearly didn't come about. Actors Robert Redford, Warren Beatty and the little-known Robert DeNiro all tried out for the part. However when The Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola saw Pacino's audition, he cast him, much to the dismay of the studio.
